YOUNG ONES

And, while we're at it, it's always interesting to see the collections from design schools.  These, from Central Saint Martins, FW2010.

Human topiaries? COUNT ME IN.

Also fabulous. The length and puddling effect on the maxis appeals to me immensely.  Now that I look at it again, I like the one on the far right a little less so. Thoughts? Have you looked at the Fall 2010 collections? Favorites?

love these. but i'm sort of having issues with the middle one -- as if her dress got caught in a pair of hedge clippers.

need for the bottom to be balanced out a bit...

Interesting the Joanna Green-wonder her vision? I immediately see shards of bone-the 1st looks to be 3 oversize skeletal bits- maybe it is just that I have been looking memento mori that this resonates, but them again seeing it a bit in Sass and Bide. As always, I am all over the map as fashion!

I really like Sass & Bide -- especially the Black Matador Jacket - with the White Lace Blouse -
& Striped Skirt instead the Pants.

I don't get the point of the Topiary - You couldn't do anything but WALK in them-!

Can we use the Chen collection as cake inspiration?

And of course, I love the color palette of Green's collection. I love how the colors and the shapes affects the silhouette of the dresses.

Soodie- It's totally unbalanced, but that's what I like about it, I think. Bulking the top lengthens the legs. I'd have like to seen the process of creating these dresses. I wonder if they had hedge sheers.

Little Augury- Given my fascination with Memento Mori, maybe I'm channeling it? I DO see what you mean, though. I think the colors, especially in the Joanna Green pieces, have a lot to do with it.

Fairwood Haven- Hahaha didn't really think about that. But then, you could probably safely lean up, supported, and utterly comfortable, against a wall with the added padding?

Cristin- cakes, YES.

Shona- I was so impressed with so many of the designs from Central Saint Martins. It's insane, and refreshing. I agree. Awaiting eagerly to see what happens next. Also, it must have been exciting being the fit model.

TO THE HEDGE SHEERS COMMENT! IT WAS PRETTY MUCH LIKE THAT! AND IT WAS CONSTANTLY LIKE A SNOW GLOBE IN THOSE DRESSES! JO GREENS PIECES ARE MADE FROM THE SOFTEST JERSEY AND SUEDE SO MAKE THEM A DREAM TO WEAR. IT SHOULD ALSO BE SAID THAT SEANS PIECES ARE FROM PLASTIC!!!!
